Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported Miguel to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries despite medical efforts to save his life.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Nicole S. Wheeler of Kennewick, survived the crash and was airlifted to the hospital for further treatment. Authorities confirmed that both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
